Meeting Intelligence

Updated August 4, 2026

Overview

Meeting Intelligence helps you prepare for interviews and learn from them afterward. Before a call, it drafts an AI interview plan tailored to the candidate and the role. After a recorded call, it turns the transcript into a readable summary, suggests profile updates, and lets you ask questions about what was said — all from the candidate's page.

Meeting Intelligence is enabled per organization. If you don't see the features below, ask your administrator to turn it on.

The Meetings tab

Open any candidate from the Candidates page (/recruiting/candidates). Alongside the existing tabs (such as Communication and AI Chat) you'll find a Meetings tab. A small badge on the tab shows how many interview preps that candidate has.

The Meetings tab is where everything in this guide comes together: the interview prep, past meeting summaries, and the link into chatting about transcripts.

AI interview prep

What it gives you

For an upcoming interview, Meeting Intelligence drafts a prep checklist made of three kinds of items:

  • Questions to ask — prioritized as Must, Should, or Nice to ask.
  • Talking points — topics worth covering.
  • Risk flags — gaps or concerns worth probing.

Every item is grounded in the difference between the candidate's CV and the vacancy requirements, so the questions focus on what you actually need to confirm. Each item shows a short rationale and citation chips telling you where it came from — the vacancy, the CV, the skills match, a prior round, or your own notes — so you can trust the suggestion.

How prep gets created

In most cases prep is created for you automatically: when an interview slot is confirmed in Marmend, the candidate's prep is generated so it's ready before the call.

If the interview was scheduled outside Marmend (no booking record), the prep may sit idle. In that case open the Meetings tab and click Generate to create it. You can click Regenerate at any time to refresh the suggestions.

The card header shows a status pill — Ready, Generating…, Pending, Failed, or Stale. A Stale banner appears when the candidate or vacancy details changed after the prep was generated; click Regenerate to bring it up to date.

The candidate must be assigned to a vacancy before prep can be generated. If they aren't, the tab will ask you to assign one first.

Transcript summaries

When a meeting is recorded (via a meeting bot), Meeting Intelligence matches the recording to the candidate and produces a processed summary — never the raw transcript. The summary appears in the Past meetings section of the Meetings tab, below the prep.

Each summary includes:

  • A written recap of what was discussed, organized around the interview agenda.
  • Highlights — the key takeaways at a glance.

For introductory or screening calls, the summary reads as a recruiter's second opinion — overall impression, fit for the role, concerns, and an explicit recommendation. That recommendation appears as a colored verdict chip: advance, hold, or decline. Technical, panel, or final rounds get a factual agenda-based recap instead, with no verdict chip.

The raw transcript is never shown on this tab — only the processed summary and highlights, with a "Generated by AI" note.

Profile-fill from meeting transcripts

After a recorded interview, Meeting Intelligence also reads the transcript for concrete candidate facts — skills, languages, work experience, education, certifications, and details like salary expectation, notice period, location, and timezone.

Any genuinely new facts are added to the candidate's profile and clearly marked with an amber from interview badge so you always know where they came from. Existing CV-parsed or recruiter-entered information is never overwritten — new items are only added when they aren't already on file, and empty fields are filled in only when they were blank. If something the interview surfaced is wrong, just remove it inline; the provenance badge makes it easy to spot what came from the call versus the CV.

Chatting with transcripts in Candidate AI Chat

You don't have to read summaries to get answers. Open the candidate's AI Chat tab and ask natural-language questions about their recorded interviews — for example, "What did they say about their notice period?" or "How did the second round go?"

The assistant answers from the processed summaries first, and reads deeper into the transcript only when needed. As with the rest of Meeting Intelligence, the raw transcript is never shown to you — the assistant reads it internally and replies in plain language.

Insight and recommendation badges

Across the Meetings tab you'll see badges and chips that help you scan quickly:

  • Priority badges on prep questions — Must (red), Should (orange), Nice (grey).
  • Citation chips on each prep item — the source the suggestion was grounded in (Vacancy, CV, Skills delta, Prior round, Your notes).
  • Recommendation chip on intro-call summaries — advance, hold, or decline.
  • From interview badges on profile items added from a transcript.
  • Status pill on the prep card — Ready, Generating, Pending, Failed, or Stale.

Shared meeting summaries for invited employees

Meeting Intelligence isn't only for recruiters on the candidate page. When an employee is invited to a meeting on the calendar — for example, a hiring manager joining an interview — they get an employee-facing Meetings page that lists the meetings they attended, each with its AI summary. Summaries are linked to the calendar attendees automatically, so the right people see them without anyone sharing a link.
