Website Analytics
Track how visitors interact with your job postings and career pages.
Overview
Website Analytics shows you who visits your career pages, where they come from, and how they engage with your job postings. This data is combined with your recruiting pipeline to give you a complete picture: from page view to hire.
Traffic data appears automatically in your recruiting dashboards — there is nothing to switch on.
Recruiting Analytics (Overview)
Navigate to Recruiting → Analytics from the sidebar.
Traffic KPIs
You'll see traffic cards above the recruiting metrics:
| Metric | What it means |
|---|---|
| Vacancy Page Visitors | Unique people who visited any of your job postings |
| Vacancy Pageviews | Total page views across all postings |
| Bounce Rate | Percentage of visitors who left after viewing only one page |
| View → Apply | What percentage of visitors actually applied |
Don't see traffic data? Analytics requires no setup on your side — there is no Plausible setting in Marmend, and it is switched on for every company. If you see a banner saying website traffic analytics isn't available yet, that is a server-side configuration matter; contact Marmend support.
Vacancy Page Traffic (Timeseries)
Below the KPI cards, a line chart shows daily traffic trends for all your vacancy pages over the selected period:
- Blue line — Unique visitors per day
- Green line — Total pageviews per day
This helps you spot the impact of campaigns, social media posts, or job board listings on your vacancy traffic.
Website Traffic Sources
A doughnut chart showing where your vacancy visitors come from based on Plausible analytics data. Common sources include:
- LinkedIn — Visitors from LinkedIn posts or ads
- Direct — People who typed the URL directly or used a bookmarked link
- Google — Organic search traffic
- Telegram — Visitors from Telegram channel posts
- Email — People who clicked links in emails
This is different from the "Source Effectiveness" chart (which shows internal candidate sources in your pipeline). Website Traffic Sources tracks actual website visitors, regardless of whether they applied.
Visitors by Country
A horizontal bar chart showing the top 10 countries your vacancy page visitors come from. Useful for:
- Understanding whether your job postings reach the right geographic audience
- Deciding if you need to translate job descriptions to additional languages
- Evaluating the effectiveness of country-targeted campaigns
Enhanced Vacancy Table
The vacancy performance table shows two additional columns:
| Column | What it means |
|---|---|
| Views | How many people viewed each vacancy page |
| View→Apply | Conversion rate from viewing to applying |
This helps you identify:
- Vacancies with many views but few applications (posting needs improvement)
- Vacancies with few views but good conversion (needs more visibility)
Per-Vacancy Analytics
Click any vacancy → Analytics tab to see traffic KPIs specific to that job posting:
| Metric | What it means |
|---|---|
| Page Visitors | Unique visitors to this specific job posting |
| Pageviews | Total views of this posting |
| Bounce Rate | Visitors who left without interacting |
| View → Apply | Percentage of viewers who applied |
These appear alongside pipeline metrics (candidates, stage durations, sources, conversion rates).
Website Traffic Sources (Per-Vacancy)
Below the pipeline charts, a doughnut chart shows where traffic to this specific vacancy comes from (e.g., LinkedIn, Direct, Google). This helps you understand which channels are driving visitors to each individual job posting.
Campaign Link Builder
At the bottom of the per-vacancy analytics tab, you'll find the Campaign Link Builder. This lets you quickly generate a tracked URL for the vacancy without needing to create a full campaign:
- Select a Source (e.g., LinkedIn, Telegram, Email)
- Select a Medium (e.g., social, paid, organic)
- Optionally enter a Campaign name
- The tracked URL appears below — click Copy to copy it
Use these links when sharing job postings on social media, in emails, or on job boards. The UTM parameters allow Plausible to attribute visitors to the correct channel.
Tip: For one-off shares, the Link Builder is faster than creating a full campaign. For planned, budgeted efforts, use Recruiting → Campaigns instead.
Where Traffic Data Comes From
Traffic is collected by a lightweight analytics script that runs on every page. It tracks:
- Page views — which pages are visited and how often
- Traffic sources — Google, LinkedIn, direct links, email, etc.
- UTM parameters — campaign tracking from shared links
- Geography and devices — country and desktop/mobile breakdown
No cookies are used. The analytics are privacy-friendly and GDPR-compliant.
Tips
- Low views + low applications: Your vacancy needs more promotion. Create a campaign in Recruiting → Campaigns or use the Link Builder in the vacancy analytics tab.
- High views + low applications: Your job description needs work — it's attracting people but not converting them.
- High bounce rate: Visitors leave quickly. Check if the page loads correctly on mobile.
- Best sources: Check the Website Traffic Sources chart to see which channels bring visitors, then compare with the Source Effectiveness chart to see which ones produce actual candidates.
- Use tracked links: When sharing vacancy links, use the Campaign Link Builder or create a campaign. Direct links appear as "Direct" traffic and can't be attributed to a specific channel.
- Watch country trends: If most visitors come from a country where you're not hiring, you may need to target your campaigns more precisely.
