Chrome Extension
Overview
The Marmend Chrome Extension brings Marmend into the tools you already use. It adds an AI panel to the sites where recruiting actually happens — LinkedIn, Gmail, job boards, and Google Meet — so you can draft outreach, capture candidates, and follow meetings without leaving the page.
The extension is enabled per organization. If it's not available for you, ask your administrator to turn it on.
What it does
The extension works in three modes, depending on the site you're on:
- AI messaging assistant (LinkedIn, Gmail) — drafts personalized outreach and replies to candidates, in the tone and language you choose, using your open vacancies for context. It can also generate a one-click booking link to share with the candidate.
- Candidate prospector (job boards) — captures candidate details straight from the profiles you're viewing so they flow into Marmend.
- Meeting mode (Google Meet) — connects the call you're in to Marmend so meeting context can be picked up by the assistant.
Connecting the extension
The extension talks to Marmend using a personal access token (it starts with mext_). You generate this token inside Marmend, then paste it into the extension once.
- Install the Marmend extension from the Chrome Web Store.
- In Marmend, open your Settings and go to the Note Taker tab, where extension tokens are managed.
- Generate a new token: give it a name (for example, the browser or laptop it's for) and pick a role.
- The token is shown once — copy it immediately with the copy button.
- Paste the token into the extension when it asks you to connect.
After connecting, the extension verifies the token and shows which Marmend organization you're signed in to.
Managing your tokens
You can return to the same settings area at any time to:
- See your active tokens with their name, role, when they were created, and when they were last used.
- Revoke a token you no longer use or that was on a device you no longer have. Revoking takes effect immediately — that device can no longer reach Marmend until you connect a new token.
The full token is only ever displayed at the moment you create it; afterward it appears masked. If you lose it, generate a new one and revoke the old.
What each mode shows
AI messaging assistant (LinkedIn, Gmail)
When you open a candidate's profile or an email thread, the extension panel can:
- Read the visible profile or message context.
- Let you pick a vacancy, a tone, and a language.
- Generate a message drafted for that candidate — ready to review, edit, and send.
- Offer a booking link so the candidate can schedule a call with you in a click.
Candidate prospector (job boards)
On supported job boards, the prospector reads the candidate details on screen so you can bring them into Marmend without retyping. It builds on the same assistant panel, extending it to more platforms over time.
Meeting mode (Google Meet)
On a Google Meet call, meeting mode sends the meeting's link and title to Marmend so the call can be associated with your work. This is the bridge that lets meeting features in Marmend recognize the call you're on.
