AI Notetaker
Overview
The AI Notetaker records and transcribes your meetings and turns them into an AI summary you can read afterward. You decide whether it joins on a per-meeting basis.
The notetaker is enabled per organization. If you don't see the options below, ask your administrator to turn it on.
Notetaker settings
Open your notetaker settings to control:
- Live transcription — capture a written transcript of the meeting in real time.
The settings tab is available to roles that manage meetings.
Every recorded meeting produces an AI summary automatically — there is no separate summary toggle. If you don't want a summary, exclude the notetaker from that meeting.
Turning the notetaker on or off for a meeting
Each calendar event has its own notetaker toggle, so you can decide meeting by meeting:
- Open the calendar event.
- Use the notetaker toggle to include or exclude the AI notetaker for that meeting.
Google Meet events have the notetaker on by default, so your video interviews are captured unless you turn it off.
What you get afterward
When the notetaker is on and the meeting is recorded, you always get a processed AI summary — and, for interviews, it feeds Meeting Intelligence.
Tips
- Leave the notetaker on for interviews so Meeting Intelligence can summarize them and fill in candidate details.
- Turn it off for casual or sensitive conversations you don't want recorded.
